Notes for Windows Users

We're Sorry

Unfortunately the Nails Command Line Tool isn't available for Windows. We suck, we know.

We do have plans to bring compatibility but that will come as Nails reaches a v1 state; there are no defined timelines at present.

All is not lost though! You can still do things manually.

Setting up a new Nails site

Clone the Nails skeleton, install dependencies and then run the installer:

$ git clone .
$ rm -rf .git
$ composer update
$ ./nails.php install
$ git flow init
$ git commit -m "Initial Commit"

Configuring a Nails Site

At any time you can run the installer to change app settings, install modules, create super users and to migrate the database:

$ cd /path/to/your/app
$ ./nails.php install

Migrating the Database

Migrating the database on its own is easy too:

$ cd /path/to/your/app
$ ./nails.php migrate

Upgrading Nails

Upgrading Nails is a walk in the park:

$ cd /path/to/your/app
$ ./nails.php upgrade
